did you post any of these attempts anywhere? Which Elastica-model were you trying to embed?

My attempt was simply to create a 2d elastica curve. Nothing fancy and with little interaction. The file is from December 2008. The VB script is a little messy, I hope you can make some sense of it. It's not a very mathematical solution either - the script simply rotates a line using a varying centre point. This generates a bunch of points and then a polyline is created.
