Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello,

im new to grasshopper so please bear with me...

I have a list created by duplicating items {0;0;0;0} N=95 and I can figure out a way of splitting the list into 19 branches each with 5 itmes say {0;0;0;0 -1, 2... 19 ) N=5

i know is basic but im still trying to get my head around lists/trees and how to manipulate them properly

thanks for your time

Yeah that's it. The only thing I noticed is that for what you are calling #9 the +1 is actually to define the start of the domain that will pick up the remnant items.

Looks like you have a lot of options now :)

I would go with the tree8 tools, but if you are making something you might end up distributing and you dont want to require people who use it to download a plugin (which is annoying sometimes) then I would go with Danny Boyes method on the link that Pieter supplied. It's by far the cleanest/simplest Grasshopper-only method I have seen.

mmm.. I tried Danny's but is doing something different than the one you and Pieter sent.

... but is ok, I will finish the definition I'm working on and then figure out why.

thanks again
