Effect of stop and resume the Octopus

Hello!

I am an Octopus beginner. maybe this is a very simple question but I cannot handle it. Can anyone help answering me?

1. When processing the Octopus, I stopped it and resumed for several times because of the shift from home to faculty or back. Does it have any effects on the final results ? I used the "stop/pause" and then "start" button.

2. I checked the tutorial, it said:" When a search is started for the first time, 2 x PopulationsSize solutions are generated from the current Slider-Setup by using the current settings for mutation. When a search is resumed, just one solution with the current slider setup is added to the pool." Does this only refer to the "Start with presets" button? Actually I don't understand what it is saying, Can anyone help me explain this?
