algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there any way to get drawings from meshes rather than to convert them into breps?

I know that I can export rhino views of meshes into illustrator and get vectors there but thatll require an excessive amount of cleaning up. Any suggestions?

If you want vectors directly from rhino you may be out of luck. I've had good-looking vector-LIKE images from meshes with the new technical display in Rhino 5. You might also try exporting your mesh to Sketchup... if you have mostly planar geometries and you import the mesh to sketchup with "merge coplanar faces" enabled, you can get decent looking vector drawings that don't show your mesh wires.

Another way I do it is use rhino render at an really large size, with render edges on, make the layer color the color you want the lines, and set the render material as white with 100 percent transparency, set background to no background and be sure to save as .png so it saves with no background. You can make the image size huge because really only the lines are rendering so it wont take to long. Then to make it vectors just live trace in illustrator.

Ah, there's one more trick worth knowing - If you want to do high-resolution rhino screenshots, use the -ViewCaptureToFile command (make sure you include that hyphen!) - it will let you specify an arbitrary resolution for your screen capture.
