Draw perpendicular lines between points on two curves at varying intervals

Hi, I'm just learning Grasshopper. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I have two curves. I want to draw perpendicular lines at intervals determined by the length of the line before.

What I'm thinking:

- Tween between the two curves. The cross section lines will be perpendicular to this.

- Draw a line from the centre line to the two outer curves

- Use the length of that line to set the next point along the centre line. Later I would like to use an equation to manipulate this value.

- Repeat for the length of the curves

Where the curves are farthest apart, the lines two will be further apart. Where the curves are close, the lines will be close.

Can someone please help me with a definition?

Thanks in advance

Let me know if I can supply anymore information. Thanks

Loft the two curves and extract iso curvess

Hi Simon,

Any chance you could show me in a definition. I'm not sure how to 'extract iso curves'.

Thanks

Try like that

Hi Victor,

Thank you for your reply. Sorry for getting back to your so late. I've been away.

As I'm only starting out with Grasshopper are you able to show the above definition in text mode rather than with icons. I'm not familiar with some of them.

Thanks in advance.

J

Never mind, I worked them out.

Would you mind taking a look at what I have as it has an error with the end polyline. I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks,

Jonathon
