algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there any way to use grasshopper to emulate the pattern of a dragonfly's wing? The difficulty lies in the fact that the geometry morphs from quadrilaterals to pentagons to hexagons, and the area of the shapes decrease towards the trailing edge. Are there any specific components the set up these parameters?

I've heard it suggested that the dragonfly wing follows a voronoi diagram - so you might look into the voronoi tool. The challenge is in setting up the points correctly.
I don't have an answer but I think the counting of the sides may be different than indicated, for instance this is indicated as 4 sides, I think it's 6...
well, its not exactly voronoi diagram, but its similiar.
I agree. Its not exactly a voronoi. Some friends and I have come close to recreating the pattern by drawing out a series of curves and dividing them into points that can be used to create the more boxe-like lattices. I'm sure the voronoi will work for the remaining membrane once a system for a point cloud is determined.
