dove tail joints

could millipede be used to simulate the stresses and strengths of different dovetail joints. I've used karamba to try it but am only estimating the wood as a shell and i don't think that's accurate. I want to know how different teeth parameters affect the jointed woods deflection when placed under load, and if possible use galapagos to find the best dovetail configuration for my project. can i model solid bodies in millipede and use conflict analysis to see how the different iterations compare? how to do that? any ideas???
