Does the Join component only work on curves that are will be completely closed?

Hi
Does the Join component only work on curves that are will be completely closed?

I want to join curves into one open curve like two abutting polycurves but it doesn't work. The ends touch and Rhino will join them but I can't find a way in GH. In the simple example file I want to join curve A to curve B into an open curve.

Thanks for any help.

Ok I see I need to reparameterze the input curves. What does that mean and why would I have to check that?
I cannot repeat that. Both sets join up correctly.

The Join component has an option that will take the curve direction into account while joining.
If Preserve Direction = True, then the red and blue curves will not be joined since they are "back to back".

Reparameterization should not have mattered. It forces the domain the curve to be 0.0 - 1.0. This is useful when sampling the curve using parameters since you always know the valid range.
Hi David,

Thanks for your quick answer I don't know what was going on. No matter what I tried, it wasn't working for me until I did the reparameterization on the curves why that allowed a join maybe is something to check into. I was also getting weird errors using loft. I exited Rhino and restarted Rhino re-opened grasshopper loaded that file and everything worked fine for me too. I've done this before maybe I hit some switch but recalling I simply created those curves added the components.
