Dividing Surface and Populating Surface

Hi

I have been working with grasshopper as a form finding tool. I've generated a surface [building form] using Delaunay Triangulation component.

My intention is to populate the triangular surface with the facade component I have designed. So far I haven't been so successful at this so I have been doing it manually from a baked state in Rhino environment.

The component is a rhomus shape as shown in the image uploaded. Each surfaces are divided from the bottom point at every 680mm interval (which is the lengthe of my component) - this creates a rhombus grid within the triangular surfaces.

Could you please advise me how I can go about dividing then populating a surface with facade components in grasshopper environment?

Hi Jisoo,

I would suggest that you use Giulio Piacentino's VB component to make Diagrids on your surfaces:

Could you please post your definition so far?
It might be tricky to apply the component onto a delauney mesh.
Make sure you convert the mesh into a brep first and that you explode and graft the breps afterwards.

Yes the delaunay surfaces that were created were very complex and resulted in many triangular surfaces in varying sizes. So I've resulted to baking the surfaces then modifying the surfaces to simplify it. I have uploaded a modified version which basically is triangular surfaces adapted to a building form. If I was to use Giulio Piacentino's VB component to make Diagrids on the surfaces how should I go about plugging my diamond component into a diagrid surface?

Here are the original files: rhino file contains the lines I've used to attract points and grasshopper file to generate the delaunay form.
