Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Very straightforward. I would be very happy to get some advice on an effiecient way of dividing a diagonal grid into smaller diamond segments depending on distance to an attractor (image sampler/curve or similar). seen below.

My definitions usually take too many unwanted detours. :)

How would you go about selecting the surfaces closest to the point and then in in a simple way dividing these into gradually smaller segments?

Any advice or reference to other discussions are welcome!

Thanks alot! :)

At the moment the definition takes the initial division grid and divides these diamonds into smaller segments.

This gives a rather raw gradient. Another way would be to split the surface with the new lines and then choose the closest smaller diamonds. This makes the file quite heavy, splitting all surfaces several times.

Any ideas :)?
