Dividing a surface

Hi everybody

I have a problem with dividing a surface which is part of a bigger one. When I divide it by divide domain2 to have the isotrims, the action is done on the whole surface. I think the 3d file and the definition are more clear. I put them here.

You are trying to do it on a trimmed surface. Please find revised drawing and definition.

Unfortunately my Rhino version is 4.0 SR8. It seems that your file is made by a higher version and I cannot open it. You mean I should not make my surface by subtracting it from a bigger one and should make it from scratch?

Hi Maryam

Take the trimmed surface and apply the extract wireframe command under curves. Then you can do a simple bi rail surface on it and you have an untrimmed surface.

The idea is not to used a trimmed surface created in Rhino
