algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there a way to divide a line into distances that are dependent on two attraction points?

When the attraction point is at the centre (half of the total span length) the density of points should higher in the centre and the distances become greater near the ends of the line.

When the two attraction points are located at the end and start of the line, the density of points at the end and start should be high, while the density of points in the centre has to be lower.

In the current model this only works for one attraction point, but in this way I can't create a higher density of points at both ends of the line (at the start and the end).

I can make your file work with two points, but they sort of tend to cancel out. If you go further away from one point, you get closer to the other...

I also attached a different approach (something I wanted to try for a long time). It only works for curves that are parallel to World XY though.

Here's another method in which  are used points and geometric modifications to manipulate numbers. The idea is to find the graph of influence to move the points chord and retrieve the value of the parameter.

the file..

Sorry for the late response, I was busy with the exam weeks and didn't have time to work on the project.

Making use of a graph is indeed helpful.

I can also use your second approach David. I changed the curve into a line and then I can use the file because there is the possibility to create a higher density at the end points of the line but also to create a higher density at the center of the line.
