Divide Conoid Surface in Squares

a) no way you can divide that surface into identical quads.

b) if you want to keep edge lengths equal but don't care about the shape distortion, you can try paneling tools with equal-distance division. That might work up to a point.

c) if you don't care about exactly identical panels, but want to kind of maintain aspect and edge length, you can try evolute tools or code your own iterative solution with kangaroo.
