algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Divide a set of lines in a random way (or just put points in a random way)

Hi, everyone,

I am trying to create a hanging object that and it seems I got I got stuck...

What I try to do is create a grid that from each point of it there is a line (imagine a wire hanged from a cieling) and on that wire there are in random distances spheres.

Now I managed to do it to 1 line in a seperate case (well I just copy it from other discussions around) , though when I try to apply it on the grid all the lines get the SAME RANDOM division (which looks a bit silly), so, how should I do it?

You may see the illustration and the GH file...

Thanks you,

Nankyo.

Wow Chris, you rock! Thanks.

Only one thing, is there any way to avoid the balls overlap, cause they need to be with greater density, though not cut each other... I am trying to put a distance limit, like the min value would be bigger than the diameter of the sphere...but besides understand the logic, I do not know how to do it...

Another thing I try to do without success is to skip the 1 point in the grid but in a diagonal rhythm (there is a sketch to explain..), I tried using cull pattern, but it is just eliminate the whole raw... Any suggestions?

Regards,

Nankyo
