algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey I need some HELP please!!!!
So what I am trying to do is basically distributing an object along an equally divided curve like in image01.
I am having problems in moving these Boxes without them overlapping as you can see in image 02.
In my script I divided a set of curves in equal length, and then I took the points of the curves and I attached it to a referenced object.
Can anyone help me in solving the problem of the overlapped objects?
Or is there another way to approach this concept?
Thanks in advance.

If you need to position each box based on the position of the previous box, you'll have a hard time encoding that in Grasshopper. However your boxes are all back to back, so I'd start out with them all aligned along one edge and then moving them only in Y until they intersect with your curve.
You cannot use points are equally far apart in 3D space to position boxes that need to be equally far apart in 1D space.
thank you David, i shall try that.
https://naeimdesigntechnologies.wordpress.com/2013/10/03/brick-wall... is it something like this what you want to do?
yeah it is similar to the second image.... is it possible to send me the grasshopper file?
i would like to see how you did it....
i will look for it, did it longtime ago,
as David said, its a bit complicated , but ts possible
