algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
I am currently working on a grasshopper script that starts with line constructed by an xyz point. Moving forward from there, I create a rectangular module that is divided into 5 equal points along one horizontal face. The next duplicated piece is attached to one of the five points on the previous piece. They could then be rotated (sliders are located on the left side of the script) in rows or individually if more sliders are connected to the rotation component.
The issue:
I've attached a rendering of the space I am attempting to create using this grasshopper model. I have outlined in red the kind of opening I am trying to get. I am imagining the opening to be guided by a point that is defined somewhere along the surface composed of mass produced modules. This point will then cause a split amongst the surface, moving points away to create a "split" -like opening.
I am not sure how to tackle this problem and any help would be great!
