algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hey guys,

Im having trouble finding a way to measure the distance between 2 curving surfaces. I need to be able to find where the surface come close then an 8 mm gap. I need to be able to sort the uneven surface and then mark the distance between opposite the nearest points on the 2 opposite surfaces, and then want to cull out all points over 8mm. Ive given it a shot in 2 approaches, if anyone has a suggestion, thank you so much

Try this:

The points represent where the surfaces are <8mm apart. The density/quantity of the points can be adjusted through the U & V counts.

The idea is that the definition is culling all indexes (of points on both surfaces) that ring "True" for distances between them being greater than the input 8mm (or whatever units are in Rhino).

Thanks Kalin! was having such a hard time to wrap my head around this. I added a dispach after the True false to switch between seeing the points that are true or not
