Distance between points generated by list

Hi, 

Im new to grasshopper and I'm trying to find distances between points that have been generated from a list. Is there anyway to find distances between neighboring points in my definition?

I want to create a definition that dictates: if points are closer than a certain amount of meters (ie. 8 meters) they should morph into one single loft. 

I don't know if I'm explaining this correctly, if not please let me know.
