Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear all,

I try to orient a curve onto gaven axes.

as shown below, the geometries from axes 0-6 was oriented as i wish, but from axes 7 are the goemetries oriented, but in wrong direction.

(all of gaven axes has the same dirction)

anybody knows what could be the problem of this?

select in rhino and use command flip?

When you use the Normal Plane component you are not using enough criteria to orient a plane sufficiently. This allows Grasshopper some freedom when picking the direction of X and Y.

I would suggest using something like the Line Line Plane Method. You don't even need to use anymore components than you already have.

thx danny,

what a important hint!

In case must all of the geometry only in x-y direction oriented. so I modified the input-plane and now works everything great.
