Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi!

I have a model made up of triangular surfaces of different areas and angles of orientation. What I need is to triangulate differentiating the density of triangulation. The lower the surface is, it should be less triangulated. Also, there should be a differentiation on the density of each surface.

In the file there is a model and an example of a triangulation which is not differentiated.

If anyone could help do this in grasshopper I would be very grateful,

Thanks,

Gaston

What have you tried so far?

Hi Daniel,

In the gh attached I tried a triangulation but it doesnt triangulate the whole surface, and I cant differentiate either.

Thank you very much

Hi.

I'm not sure this is what you are after. You can use mesh subdivision algorithm.

You'll need "Weaverbird" plug-in.

Hi Hyungsoo Kim, thank you very much! This was very helpful, it was exactly what I needed. I have one more question. I need the centroid of each of the new triangles inside the mesh, and I can only generate the centroid of each mesh. I need those centroids so that I can move them in Z and generate triangular pyramids.

Thank you very much,

Gastón

You can use Weaverbird's Stellate component.
