algorithmic modeling for Rhino

difference between the remapped and culled values.

Hello guys,

So I made a definition of an attractor point in gh. What I am trying to do in this is to restrict the extrusion of the pipes to 1 & 5. I have used the remapped value from the remap component but noticed that the culled value is excatly same as that of the remapped value. why?(I get confused in this a lot) and what do you guys think of ths definition? how to make it more efficient.

Thankyou.

Remap will not round values, it will convert values from one numeric domain to another. For example if you set up a mapping with a source domain of [0 to 20] and a target domain of [0 to 100], then the value 10 will be mapped to 50 (from exactly halfway the source domain to exactly halfway the target domain).

Hello David,

Thanks a lot for the help. I am realizing every day the power of the expression tool...a bit scared to use it though(maths!). I was wondering how and when do we use the clipped value of the remapped tool, will find it out as I use it more i guess....thanks again :).
