Diagrid | Component | Surface Morph

Hello,

I need your collective support with an issue that I'm sure is trivial to all of you but its been a real headache over here.

I am trying to populate a diagrid with a component using Surface Morph. The component ideally will be driven parametrically through graphs/sliders controlling the W vector to give some diferentiation.

The diagrid is currently laid on a vertical surface which is the facade of the building, but the idea is to start adding complexity locally deviating from the flatness into pockets of double curvature.

To test the definition I built a simple component but surface morph does not seem to populate the grid and just remains at the bottom corner of the surface.

The effect that I would eventually like to achieve is similar the Broad museum by Diller Scofidio as seen below.

What am I doing wrong?
