Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

we're finally settled in our new place (well, minus a lot of furniture for the time being). It took a bit longer than expected to get online here but it all seems to work now. If you have an outstanding C#/VB support issue that needs my attention please add a response to that discussion so it pops back to the top of the list. In the meantime I'll bluntly assume that any issue older than a week is either resolved or dead.

Intellisense does not work.....Sorry to say what. I know WPF is not usable for IPhone or whatever. But anyway IOS overdesigned and locked as all users are stupid by company definition. So lets get it down the drain like it was doing with the attitude in the 80ties.

And intellisense is a issue, maybe not for dynamic fast scripting in Phyton. I konw this issue is going to the nerves.

Yeah, QWhale -despite being the best option I could find- is still pretty bloody horrible for actual coding. I have a trip scheduled to Seattle later this year when we'll talk about GH2, Rhino6 and whatever that involves. A decent VB/C#/Python editor is very high on the list for me, but there simply may not be good options within our reach.

But I'm definitely going to try and get something done on this front as I agree it is a major pain.

Maybe Roslyn CTP will be the future to go. But this means to dive into semantics. Which is horror too, but gives ability to write your own language syntax or extend the c# syntax. Which is really cool.[Design Script will do this i think.Where is a kind of paradim switch existing]

Roslyn certainly seems like a great tool for people writing code editors, but I was hoping I didn't have to spend 4 years writing one from scratch. I also have little interest in adding features to the VB/C# languages. Whatever is there now seems sufficient. I am considering this for the Grasshopper expression language though.

This is crazy, but the pythonista app (Script editor) for iOS is good, simple, portable. This guy might have some ideas. http://omz-software.com/pythonista/

I can see your house from here!  Congrats on the (relative) success of the move.

P.S. Those mountain ranges make for some crazy cloud action.
