Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello all

I am trying to design modular building has cube shape and each cube has double surface in top and buttom and the cubes should be like this pic http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/pensilina-432?xg_source=activity. i have started the definition but i'm not sure if i can get the same shape.

The attached image is an example of what I am trying to emulate.

Thank you.

Thanks Lucas,

that's really helpful, i'm trying to have double surface because the building extend system from both side.
how can i separate between these components as pic and have double surface.

I'm now trying to understand the definition.

You should be able to set this up to have individual control of as many segments as you wish.  I'm not sure what you mean by 'double surface'.  Are you talking about a shell, ie. an inner and outer surface for each segment or do you mean something else?

thanks chris

yes it is inner and outer surface for each segment. The attached image is explain what i mean with double surface

the outer surface has ability to separate to have more space inside the building.

sorry for bad explain i'm new in grasshopper.

Here's a screencast showing a solution for one segment.

Begin with last one. When I arrive home i will group components to try show you how it works(its quite dissordered

ask all you need! Cheers
