Deleting faceted faces in a geometry by area or edge length

Hi all,

I have a geometry made by facet dome, but I want to delete those faces of which area is bigger than X. Or either selecting by edge length, if it's easier.

What I am trying to do is to get rid of the faces on the upper part, the long ones, in order to have a faceted parabola. like a "sink" or an "upside down volcano".

Separately, I would need to check whether those faces surpass certain inclination angle. If they are too steep, the robot won't carve it, so I need to have an angle A, as inclination limit, and if they are steeper, modify the geometry in order to make them able to be carved.

I have attached the file! Rhino file is not needed.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah! That works, but cutting the geometry with a plane like the example below! Thank you so much!

Hi.

You could define your facet boundary by inputting bounding box to box input of Facet Dome component.

Yeah that works perfect! Can you attach the file please? So I can see the whole process!

Thanks a lot!

This by Angle

So I think I need a mix of both, your definition and Hyungsoo Kim's one. I need to cut the piece as he did. Thank you Mohamed! I'm going to try to experiment with it a little bit more and I will come back with more proposals maybe!

Thanks a lot!
