Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

When I select components on grasshopper and press delete with my keyboard it will say "delete" on the Rhino tab but won't delete the latter on grasshopper (Windows7 x64 Rhino 4 GH0.9.0061).

To actually delete the components on GH I have to go to the edit folder each time which is a bit less straight-forward.

Many thanks,

Arthur

Hi,

I just expiremented this annoying problem with shortcuts or keyboard.

I tried to disable my python node and re-enable it and it solved my problem for that session at least.

When the focus is changed to rhino history, it seems to releaf the pain a single shot. (Cause the focus go back to rhino command line).

Hope this help to reveal a bit more about this issue. Which slows down (even stops) my workflow.

 Regards,

An old issue but occoring for me too often aswell.

I work in Windows 8 with Rhino 5 and GH 0,9,0056 on a MacBook Pro.

Windows Bootcamp setup (No virtualization).

Because the mac QUERTY keyboard lacks a DEL button I mapped the Capslock as a delete.

I also use an external Apple keyboard which has a dedicated delete button.

Both deletes often put the focus in the Rhino Commandline while working in Grasshopper.

The "Show Desktop"  trick doesn't work for me.

Any news?

No news. I've told the Rhino core developers this needs attention before we ship Rhino6 and it seems like we'll try to track this down and fix it. But no promises.

Hi David,

Really sorry as this is quite an old issue, has there been any updates, replies or solutions on that? It still happens quite a lot to me and to students.

Many thanks,

Arthur

No news. This is still happening on Rhino6 wips?

I know this is an older post but I have had the same issue with a few of my projects.  The work around for me has been to save the GH script, and the Rhino project, and simply restart the program.

I met the same problem when I used two monitors for extended views, one for Rhino modeling space and the other for grasshopper. I found that by simply dragging grasshopper to the same monitor with rhino, and delete button starts to be active, you can delete components.

Working on RHINO6.. but I still have the same problem with the delete key and I realized that I cannot use the Drag+Alt to duplicate the components...

I had the same Problem and figured out that if you press fn (left Bottom Corner of the macbook QWERTZ Keyboard) and the delete button, you can actually delete!!!
