Is there any way to rearrange the grid to fit in some sort shape ( for example a trapezoid, like the one in picture ) ?

Hi Khizer, make a Planar Surface from the polygon, and use Divide Surface. Is that what you meant?

No. Divide Surface divides a non-regular trapezoid in a regular way ( rectangular )...

I have a whole function, which uses a square grid to generate a growth sequence. i want to deform this grid to adjust to my site boundary (trapezoid) , expand or contract to fit the edges. Consider the above image, i want the top left corner of the grid to be at the top left corner of the trapezoid, similarly all corners of the gird to re-adjust at the respective trapezoid corners, and the size of the cells adjusting accordingly...

isn't this what you want?

Can it be converted to a grid, or used as a grid?

When i am doing it, this is happening...

strange, I can't explain this. Nice grid on my screen... Could you upload your files?

Here they are... i want a grid as an end product, or a grid deformed to fit in the boundary...

Although i have tried only your planer in a new empty definition, result is the same...

Ah yes, I used a surface from 4 corner points from Rhino... I made a workaround though.

The output through this method are points and vectors, where my definition requires a grid of cells to display the array...is it possible to convert this to a grid?

Enable preview of SQ-GRID and PREVIEW button in my definition...

Ah, a grid of cells.

Its not working with the code, i have tried to replace my old square grid with this one, but the generation disappears... i have attached the file for you to look at it...

Hi, I have the same problem, only that my shape is not linear, its a closed polyline with parts that are curves .. do you have any idea how I can fit in this shape a grid?

Hello guys,
I`m having trouble in trying to deform the edges of a squaregrid, remaining the ortogonal lines inside.

I tried to create curves in Rhino too and put the grid on it, but all I got was an inclination, I tried to use boundary, paneling, but all unsucess...
Any ideias?
Thanks
