Definition to locate angle of frame and place a surface in-between two frames.

HI! I have a few frames like these and I need a definition to find the midpoints of the frames and have an additional folded surface attaching the two frames.. Can anyone pls help me with a definition which maybe finds the eval of the lines and connects to create a small surface which goes on top of the frame to connect them.
