Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I am relatively new to grasshopper and I am trying to create a surface to use in kangroo. I am aiming to achieve a surface similar to the shape of the Centre Pompidou Metz once form found.

I have been able to create the surface between the top curve but I have fallen short of the rest. I took the approach of trying to create a surface in the corners then create one for the middle portion and then union the surfaces together. I thought that was a good strategy but I can not seem to achieve the different boundary curve to proceed.

If anyone has any hints and tips or if i am approaching this in the wrong way, would be great to hear from you! I have attached the script and all the geometry is definded using GH.

Much appreciated!

Hi,

check the pictures in this profile: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/photo/listForContributor?screenN...

The images are really clear concerning the process to achieve something like you want

Check also the examples of kangaroo plugin

Hi Nenov,

Thanks for this! I understand that he has projected the curves onto the mesh and then moved the vertices of the mesh to where he wanted which makes more sense and clearly a better approach, but there is no GH script.

I have tried to do this by spiltting the surface with a projected curve but I cant work out how to manipulate the mesh to then move to my desired shape. If anyone has any hints or tips I have attached my script!

Thanks really apprciated!
