algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I don't know what's wrong, but the "Deconstruct Brep" coming out from a Bounding Box component is not working. There's no error message in Bounding Box, so I'm not sure why DB is not working here.

If you select other surfaces, it will work.

It just doesn't work with this surface. Can someone explain to me why this DB doesn't work for this surface?

Are there other ways in getting a bounding surface for any surfaces instead of this solution to avoid this problem?

The GH definition is attached looking for some help.

I suspect the box is simply too thin. It's almost zero, but not quite. It's certainly way below the tolerance setting.

Thank you for the clarification, David. Are there ways to get around in getting a bounding surface instead of this method? I was trying to make a pattern making tool for any flat surfaces, but I ran into this problem. Any advice will be appreciated.

Does this work as you need it too..

I just added a line using the Evaluate Surface data you had to make the Box 3D and switched the Boundary Box option to Union Box.

Great idea! That'll work for me. Thank you!

About a dozen superfluous components there: since the surface is planar you can just connect it to both inputs of the BoundingBox component.

Nice workflow not considered that.

Awesome! I'm always amazed by how simple the solution could be!
