algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi David,
I attended the shape to fabrication conference the other day, had a very good time.
I think the forum is very excellent and it is amazing that everyone gives their time and knowledge so freely, however there is often the problem of repeated problems, FAQ's and searching for answers to problems you're sure someone else has probably asked.
I think it would be a good idea if when posting on the forums, you could highlight the components which are being troublesome, if each file had a small database file attached, when searching or asking a question you could search the forum/database by component or even combination of components, to find people encountering (hopefully) the same or similar issues.
I imagine it could also work well to cross-pollinate ideas, when you're getting the hang of a group of components, it would be nice to see what else they can do in slightly different circumstances.
anyway i'm not good at coded stuff so not sure if that would be easy an absolute nightmare...
Cheers for the continuing good work on behalf of me and i'm sure everybody else who reads this.

just reading this back and not sure i've explained it so well.
I'm meaning like an autosearch not based on keywords and searching the post titles or text, but directly comparing definitions. I'm not sure if its the technically correct but finding similar fitness between the files.
I also realise that it relies on non rhino code but the code of the websites themselves. But if grasshopper met database...
