algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everyone,
I'm spending hours looking forum and trying to find the simplest solution. I'm also a beginner in terms of expressions and path mapper.
I have the data tree like this:
Basically I have three surfaces(panels) with 29 lines on each and i need to loft these lines in a way that 1st line lofted with the 2nd, 2nd with 3rd and so on. And keep the resulting surfaces on "panel" branches.
I hope it makes sense. Any thoughts what could be possible ways to do it?
Thanks!
Kate

1. add shift list component (Sets panel) with W input set to false
2. connect to current data tree (as seen in your image) graft component (data tree should look like {A;B} now)
3. connect to current data tree shift list component from pt.1 and then duplicate graft component and connect it to shifted list
4. now get loft component and with shift key pressed add data from "grafted tree" and "shifted and grafted" component
5. after all you should get path mapper, and if after lofting data tree looks like {A;B} then write in path mapper {A;B} -> {A} (double click this guy to get type in windows)
This should work but I write it on the fly, so not 100% sure (file needed to check)
Or you could just connect it directly to a loft component, set the loft as "straight". If you to explode the 3 resulting polysurfaces use the "brep components" component followed by a "shift paths" component.
