Data tree Problem

Hello,

I'm working on a definition that suppose to build a grid of columns of 2 types:

1-Simple short columns
2-Taller columns with split top.

For some reason that I could not find, I can't create the lines that symbolize the split top.

the lines keep connecting between one's column top and other's split point.

Can someone figure out what's the problem?

I modeled the wished design using sketchup - so you'll have a basic idea of how it should look like.

You need to Graft Endpoint B of your line component.

Wow... Thanks a lot! I spent so long trying to understand it and it was so easy..
B.T.W - I managed some 20 minutes ago to find a solution - but it's not very elegant... (attached)

I guess the next problem going to be with building those surfaces right.
