Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to retrieve the branches index from an input similar to what the param viewer returns? I have the x input of the python comonent set to tree access and can't figure out what I need to do to retrieve the branches within python.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks,

Zach

hey

i dont understand why u are using python for that.

the simple way is to just get the output from the param viewer! try it!

then you can use it as an input to whatever you want to do in Python....

Perfect, Thanks Giulio! This is a good example of how DataTrees work in python. As to Daniel's question of "Why", it is a little more complex that what is shown in the image. I need to keep track of the branches within python so that when I parse the input kml geometry, I can distribute them back into the right branch. So where as the branch of each input has 1 item, The output will have multiple items depending on how many sets of longitude, latitude, and altitude each initial item has.

Thanks again guys for the responses,

Zach
