algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have a voronoi that is filleted and I would like to select the faces of the cells with out using a list item....as I have it setup now it works witha list item however i dont think it is very practical....i dont want you have hundreds of list items... i tried grafting and using a data tree still not successful......

Which faces do you want to select? What is the logic behind this selection?

The logic is that the voroni will be generated as an urban elevated path. The cells in the voroni will be where the existing building are created paths that wrap around the buildings. I need those cells to be Boolean out of the voronoi... Currently this script does that however I'm using a list item to extract the faces of the cells I want boleaned... Cureent there are 5 cells with 5 list item components. The site working on has about 50 bldgs and I really don't want to use 50 list items to extract this information. Is there a better and efficient way of doing this?...thanks in advance Davide

Can you post the actual gh file? There's a number of steps there (especially the booleaning/extruding) I don't understand directly.

If you have a drawing/sketch of your desired result, that would also be helpful.

Thanks David attached it the definition also attached is the effect I would like to create with the voronoi paths

Hi David were you able to review the GH definition I posted? I know the site was down last nite for maintenance

Hi Shaun,

I'll review first thing tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delay.

No problem David thanks for the help

There were a lot of weird operations in that file. I think I understand what you were trying to accomplish and I removed a lot of components and replaced them with other ones.

It works a lot faster now and hopefully still does what you were after.

Thanks David....I figured I was doing something wrong you've really streamlined the definition thanks....I will have my findings posted sometime this week

Which faces are your trying to extract? The top ones?

So assuming you were trying to isolate the top or bottom faces, I would just merge the veroni curves with the offset & filleted curves. Then you can use the boundary surfaces component to build a planar surface from each set of curves. Finally, you just need to move them in the z direction to the height they should be at.

I hope this helps!

Thanks a ton this will definitely help...i will st my findings later this week
