Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hola,

I cannot figure out my error here. I have a data tree with 10 indices each with 18 items.

I want to move the whole row up 10 times and everything is going crazy. I tried a simple series grafted as well as duplicating the series to correlate to each branch's unique indice.

Probably something simple.  Should be fun.

Thanks

Erik

However, most confusing is that moving the row works with just one transformation value but not a series.

Hi.

"Cross Reference" should work. Or try "Group" component.

Thanks for your reply, I was thinking about using this method but didn't try it. I appreciate the response. Nevertheless, I wonder what the method is to maintain a data structure where each hexagon is maintained on a branch as it is before the row transformation.

For example, after the cross referenced transformation, I get a data tree where each row is essentially flattened into a single data tree of 180 items as opposed to 18 items for each branch. I am looking to create an indice for each row of branches something like:

{0;0;18}

{1;1;18}

{2;2;18}

etc...

Thanks again,

Erik
