Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

HI there

I am trying to split "N" closed curves using a set of "N" given points and an end point for each curve. As a result each one of these closed curves should be splitted in 2 open curves.

the issue is that the curve "n" should match only the splitting points having same index.

i.e. the curve {0;0}[0] should match only points {0}[0] and {0;0}[0]   ( red rect. )

and the curve {0;0}[1] should match only points {0}[1] and {0;0}[1]  ( ciano rect. )

and so on for N curves

I am not able to achieve this result since each one of the curves is splitted by all of the "t" parameters entered on the shatter components.

I think this is a quite common data matching problem but I just don't have enough experience to work this out.

I anyone can help i really appreciate

thanks , regards.

It's easier if you post your definition.

HI David and thanks for your quick reply

attached please find the  algorithm i am working on , you also need the 2 dat file to "feed" the algorithm

the problem at the final part of it , red rectangle on the right side

as you can see both curves get splitted by shatter components at both t's

what i want is to split as written on the image

i am just not able to match curves with point having same index

hope my explanation to be clear enough

thanks in advance

ivan

David , I tried to upload the  definition once again separately since I was apparently having some problem to attach it to my answer
