algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi guys:

i have a quick question

i need to perform a solid difference between 2 breps, as you can see in the image their data is not matching

could you please tell me how to make it work?

i know you can do it with the path mapper

Hi Mario...can you clarify a little how you'd like them to match? It's not immediately clear. For example, perhaps you'd like {0} and {0;0;0} to be combined in both lists into a single path? Also, you have {0;1;0} in the list you're feeding into B, but no obvious corresponding path in the other file...do you want them all to be reduced just to the left-most path index, so all collapsed to {0},{1}, etc? If that's what you want to do:

hi david

thanks for the reply

i just want the solid difference to happen

i just tried your example but still not working

Are you able to post the file?

I know its a cop out but flatten works great

Or am I missing something?

The actual problem is introduced earlier on in your definition

hey danny

yes i noticed the brep join components was not well connected (i guess that is what you mean)

fixed that already, but still, not working please see attached

Thankx for the link to the urban dictionary ...

I always like to reply with the way I would hold a conversation with friends... but colloquialisms don't often translate well, hence the links.

EDIT: of course you could have said that sarcastically :)

danny

could you send me your file to take a look at it?

also

how do you generated that image on the side?

Fixed in 0.9.0068

Export Quick Image Ctrl+Shift+Q

You then have a couple of facilities on the toolbar at the top like Rhino Viewport
