algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everybody,

looks like the data dam component behaves in a different way if it's enclosed in a cluster. I get different outputs depending wether the data dam is placed inside or outside the cluster, I don't understand why.

set as "Always" ?

The problem is that when the data-dam expires part of the document inside a cluster, that new solution does not percolate upwards to the cluster object in the parent document. So even though the data is calculated, it never makes it out of the cluster.

I can only advice to not use data dams inside clusters for the time being, potentially this bug will never be fixed for GH1.

Hi David,

I recall in the past anything that needed a timer was basically unusable with a cluster.

But that was about 3 years ago and kind of turned me off from using clusters at all until I found myself creating a simple cluster for the first time since then last week.

Everything seems to work much better that in my previous experience although I was wondering -

Are there any other hard/ safe rules for when creating clusters with the current version of GH1?

Tyler
