I would like to know how to record sound frequencies with grasshopper 

basically what Im asking is if there is a component that reads the sound frequencies like a voice recorder or something that expresses sound into a pattern like this:

only using the microphone create a graph to be used for making and analyzing patterns. 

or reading patterns that different pitches of sound can make when passed through water
