algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Any one can help in creating custom hexagonal pattern along a surface? The idea is to create some thing similar to Heather Roberge Satin Sheet (http://murmur-la.com/satin-sheets/)
also he did combined different panels on the same surface.

Hi biboarchitect!

Whats is the geometry that you'd use to create the pattern?

Can you post a sketch?

Cheers

Evert

Hi Evert,
It's something very much like what Luis has uploaded, also the work of Heather Roberge, please see attached images, where all the surfaces are done with only one panel, but according to the panel rotation it can create variety of different shapes.

Gaudi? <- I didn't cheat, but the jpeg name gives away the answer...

See also Evan Douglis.
is this helpful? a solution for an XY-surface.

Hi Rony,
I am very sorry for the late reply, but what i was thinking is something like paneling using a hexagonal pattern, so it can be applied to any surface
Hi Biboarchitects,

Does this do what you want? You need to manually shear your hexagonal geometry on rhino, as I could not get it to work on GH.

Give it a go and let me know

Hi Evert,
Shear in Rhino you mean flow along surface?
Nope, Shear a geometry based on a base point and and start and a shearing vector.

Did the Definition help?

Cheers

Evert
Thanks alot Evert for ur definition..will try it tonight and will tell you
Cheers
