algorithmic modeling for Rhino

curving tubes along surface

Hi all,

As a beginner in GH I'm trying to build an pavillon out of rotating tubes. The problem with that is, those tubes just won't curve along the upper surface. Also the crossed structure appears when I change the upper surface to a curved one, which I'm trying to avoid.

Here are two solutions..

 

One is very simple..

 

I used Frames of Surface for the base plane of circles rather than Points..

 

So, it has circles along the surface but still planar curves.. (because they are circles..)

 

 

The other uses Projected Curves..

 

So I removed boundaries on which projected curves are not closed..
