algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

If you offset a curve multiple times - like in attached image - the curve (yellow) connecting the corners of each offset doesn't follow a straight line. It also doesn't seem to be an arc. Does anyone here know how to construct that curve without all the offsets?

I get a yellow curve as a line with offset loose:

That's true? Interesting. 

However I need this for a design-to-production situation, and I don't think that operating with the loose offset relative to physically bending and connecting profiles would work.

What I am struggling with at the moment is that I have an alu profile where the sectional detailing between inner and outer corner (end start of the yellow line) doesn't add up. (Although it's very little, so I am partly investigating out of curiosity.)

Maybe the problem is visible in this image. The lines doesn't meet exactly:
