Curve subdivision in unequal steps

Hello everybody,

is it possible to change the step of the dividing curve component for each curve?

For example:

I have a loft between two arcs (like a tube). The created surface is filled with frames in u and v direction.

These points are connected by lines. I want to divide each curve in (one direction) from the surface's highest point down to the zero point in segments. But the lower the curves' position is, the less it should divided.

For example: The highest curve should be divided into 10 segments. The next curve, which position is a little bit lower should be divided into 10/2=5 Segments. The next curve should then be divided into 5/2 segments and so on and so on.
