Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I ran into a problem with a curve parameter.

After a curve is reparameterized in this example, the parameter is not in a range between 0 and 1.

I'm not sure what's causing this problem.

Can someone look into this example and let me know the issue?

Happy New Year to everyone!

Your curve is actually a polycurve, and rhino works very badly with this type of curve. Then, simply reconstruct the curve to make it an interpolated curve.

Thank you Daniel!

It's good to know that getting the right curve parameter is not consistent with a polycurve in Rhino.

It should be though. If it isn't, then that's a rather serious bug. Polycurves should work fine in Rhino, if anything nurbs-curves with internal kinks are problematic.

Thank you for the information, David.

It was the first time I ran into this problem. If I should get the right curve parameter range with polycurves after reparameterizing, I'm not sure what caused the problem with the curve in my example.

I'll look into it once I've gotten through my list from last week.
