Curve on Surface - GH crashes

Hi everyone!

I calculated the uv coordinates of a surface (with pt xyz and evaluate), then i plugged that into the curve on surface component with a surface referenced in rhino and then grasshopper crashed. I did that with several surfaces and GH files and it keeps happening. what am i doing wrong?! Can anyone help, please?

hi chris, thanks for your answer!

i figured, when i simplify my previous definition, i´m able to prevent gh from crashing. but still the crv on srf is not working properly. as you can see from my file, it creates a curve just anywhere far away from 0

thanks alot, it works fine! didn't know that I need the closest point component. although I found it hard to manipulate the points in your definition. I sort of modified it with evaluate srf components on a 0-1 space. that makes life easier :)

It was quicker for me to set the points where I could see them in relation to the surface rather than in the 0-1 space but I figured you would reset that part per your specific intentions.
