curve offset scirpt

Hi there, 

I am trying to create curves which will offset certain objects [spheres in this case].

see example image.

I created line and  sphere and applied BRep/line mathematical intersection. I got two intersection points. Now I want to offset this points away from the sphere . But I do not know how to move theme. I tried move, it does not work.

Is there any method how to achieve this "effect" ? Is it possible to offset multiple lines from one sphere ?
