algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm looking for a way to cull intersecting lines for a set of (random) lines. The lines can start or end at the same point but cannot intersect any lines. One of the intersecting lines is to be culled. Any simple solution?

I'm not sure this is the best way...

Works great! Thanks so much!

Would you have an idea on how to remove only one of the intersecting lines and keep the other?

Hi Anton,

what about cases where a line intersects 2 or more lines?

We had a similar discussion a while ago about colliding objects (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/cull-one-colliding-object...)

We didn't find a perfect solution but we got close. You could probably modify those definitions to find line intersections instead of boxes collisions.

Thanks! I'll check this out tonight. :)

Nikos, this was an awesome discussion, very helpful. Thank you.

Hope it helped a bit.

I started my solution believing this was a simple task but it quickly became clear to me that it is a pretty complex mathematical problem (at least for my level). If you get anywhere with this please post back.

cheers!
