Cull Pattern element seems unresponsive to data paths

Hello,

I am trying to narrow down a list of points using the Cull Pattern element. I am feeding in a flat tree of points, but 12 branches of Boolean patterns. I expected the cull pattern element to cull the one branch of points against each of the 12 pattern branches, and output each result into its own path.

However, it is putting all the resultant points in one path, which seems to be unusual, given the behavior of other components. I have posted the file so you can see for yourself what I am getting.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

I think you want cull the tree path, not actual items in each branch?
Honestly, I am still getting the hang of working with data paths. I am not sure how this would accomplish what I am looking to do, or, for that matter, how to implement it.

would you be so kind as to elaborate?
Update and clarification:

I have worked around this problem by using a different component.

However the issue I had initially still seems odd to me. Every other component I have used has behaved the same way with data paths. If you put in data with multiple paths, you will get out data that has multiple paths. This does not seem to be what is happening with the cull paths component. My understanding of paths suggests that the only components that should collapse data trees are those explicitly created to do so, which leads me to believe that this may not be intended functionality.
