algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am attempting to cull all the edges from a surface except the top one so I can create a perpendicular plane for it to rotate around. This way the surface rotates around its top edge..

I can cull most of the edges from an exploded Brep using CullNth, reversing the list and removing every second one. But I end up with the bottom curves I think.

What is the best way to remove all edges from a surface except the top one?

Thanks,

John

Not sure if I'm understanding what you want to do...I'm going by the sentence, "This way the surface rotates around its top edge."

Thanks,

Here is how I got it but it is a bit messy. I had to graft the surfaces to make it work with more than one.
